Expression of Interest - How To Impact

What we do…

How to Impact is a leading Australian innovation and design thinking consultancy and part of the Deepend Group of Digital and Emerging Technology companies.

Our goal is to increase the effectiveness of innovation in Australia by stretching organisations’ thinking beyond the obvious in order to connect the dots and land new possibilities. For nearly 10 years we’ve combined disruption methodologies with design thinking to accelerate innovation with the support of our innovation vision framework and capability programme.

What we do is design-led, user-centric innovation, but that covers a raft of diverse, stretchy and high-impact briefs from…creating customer engagement models for Microsoft…to disruption planning for McDonald's…to service design for Sydney Children’s Hospital…to creating an education and engagement platform for Lion.

We practise and preach innovation strategy, process and mindsets – and we do that for both clients and ourselves. (For example, we are currently undertaking our own government-funded innovation research into innovation cultures and mindsets, with a small group of best-practice public and private organisations.)

What will you do?

  • identify and act on needs-driven innovation insights
  • build innovation strategies using qual, quant, trends, disruptive thinking tools, lean thinking and Desirability-Viability-Feasibility methodologies
  • co-plan and co-run innovation projects with a dedicated team
  • apply yourself to disruptive thinking, service design, experience design and rapid prototyping.
  • Research, communicate and facilitate evolving, evidence-based solutions

Think you’re the right person? If you can check all of these off then we may have a spot for your you.  Our consultants are expected to have 4+ years direct experience and we also hire the junior consultant, project management roles and delight in finding the best interns we can to train and develop with us.
